Sam Van Zyl is a self-taught mixed media artist hailing from the picturesque countryside of Hampshire.

Sam's artistic journey began at a young age, inspired by the breath-taking coastline of South Africa. Her passion for art ignited during her senior high school studies setting the stage for her evolving exploration of various mediums and techniques.

From realism to abstract, Sam's versatility as an artist shines through in her work. Inspired by aerial photography of our beautiful word, her recent textural pieces feature intricate layers, creating effects using texture paste, crackle paste, acrylic paints and resin.These elements combined resemble organic rock formations and ocean-like landscapes, imbuing her creation with depth and movement that invites viewers to immerse themselves in their own imagination.

As a mixed media and three-dimensional artist, Sam's creations evoke emotion, personal expression, and the rhythm of life.
