Welcome to the 'Fused Glass Tealight or Coaster' by Jane Connell (Glass Duck)!
Add small pieces of multicoloured fused glass, glass frits (tumbled glass sprinkles), glass stringers and glass enamels to a clear square or rectangle base shape to create your own unique fused glass artwork; Jane will guide and encourage you throughout the design and assembly process. The fired piece can be made into a light catcher hanging or a tealight.
There is no glass cutting involved in this workshop however, adults, and accompanied children age 9 years+ only, may use mosaic cutters to cut smaller pieces of glass.
An introduction to the basic tools used when working with glass, learn about:
Health and safety aspects of working with glass
Plenty of examples to help you with your designs
Using different types of fused glass - pieces, frits and stringers to create designs
Price:
£30 per person (plus eventbrite fee).
Suitability:
Adults or Children (6 + only, any under 14 years old must be accompanied by parent or legal guardian).
What is provided:
All materials and firing kiln provided. Due to the firing process your glass creation will be available to collect from Jane 7 - 10 days later.
What to bring:
For safety, closed footwear must be worn and long hair tied back.
