CINDERELLA'S SLIPPER

Jane is a guest artist and creates glass fusing artwork. In 2005 she was inspired by the stunning stained-glass windows of Ely Cathedral and the stained-glass museum where she took several courses on stained glass with the stained-glass artist, Master Craftsman, Paul San Casciani and there her passion for glass took over.
Jane states ‘My glass work is inspired by nature’s wealth of beauty from the tiniest delicate leaf, to the crashing waves of the West Wales coastline. Each piece of handcrafted glass is unique with its subtle tones and shapes revealing hidden gems as the light changes.
The name 'The Glass Duck' was suggested by Jane’s son, linking to her maiden name, Teall. It also holds sentimental value—a reference to a small glass duck he gave her when he was four, which she has treasured ever since.
Jane is currently exploring the sculptural possibilities of fused glass, particularly through floral and tree-inspired designs. Surrounded by the countryside near her studio, she continues to draw creative energy from the landscape, capturing the wonder of nature in glass with every piece she makes.
